Kyler is a 2004 graduate of Pike Central High School and a 2009 graduate of Indiana University. Kyler resides in Petersburg with his wife and two sons. Kyler has been a part of the Petersburg Volunteer Fire Department since 2011, where he currently serves as a Lieutenant. Kyler loves fishing, kayaking and spending time with his family.
